Mainstay gamer
Armed with top-class components, this notebook managed to combine the fun with portability.
From the ranks of the MSI notebook, the G series is intended as a gaming notebook. Similarly, the Megabook GX640, a 15.4-inch notebook is priced at Rp.15, 9 million.
In terms of appearance, tongkrongan this notebook is compatible with its designation as a notebook gamers. Metallic black color decorated with red tinge on the underside of the notebook gives the impression of stout and hanging out. The impression is ideally combined with a casing that uses aluminum material with a texture of brushed metal. The use of such material is indeed a bit heavy GX640 weight (3kg), but on the other hand gives a soothing protection.
But as a gaming notebook, the MSI GX640 course should provide excellent performance. To achieve this, the MSI using a combination of topnotch. On the processor, this notebook uses I5 M540 (two core, 2.53 GHz) which is the fastest processor in the classroom I5. Even in the ranks of two-core notebook processor, the processor is only less than Core i7-620M (2.66 GHz).
While in terms of graphics, MSI VGA ATI Radeon HD5850 rely (1GB) which is the latest generation graphics card that ATI has been supporting DirectX 11. Plus 4GB DDR3 memory, the combination produces a good performance. 3DMark Vantage score was reached 5359; one class with G60J Asus and Dell Alienware M15x.
Facilities provided this notebook is not half-hearted. Modern connectors and standard here, ranging from Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire, Express Card, HDMI, until eSATA. Even the optical drive, MSI includes a BluRay Writer. Even if there are less it is still the type of USB 2.0 and not 3.0, but it is understandable considering the USB 3.0 is still relatively new.
A little disappointment we also meet on the screen that has a resolution of 1680x1050 pixels. This resolution is above standard, but for notebooks as good as this, we expect the resolution could reach the full-HD (1920x1080 pixels), such as Alienware M15x. But the disappointment was immediately paid off thanks to the quality of the screen that looks bright and sharp.
We also liked the touch panel located above the keyboard. On the panel there are buttons to activate a variety of facilities of this notebook, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and camera. On the panel there is also a menu which is the ECO Engine power management system typical MSI. This panel is so responsive because it has a light touch will activate these menus.
